-- Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) said Tuesday it plans to produce four additional Romulus 151 unmanned surface vessels, in addition to one already under construction.
The shipbuilding company said the vessels will be built by Breaux Brothers Enterprises in Louisiana, marking a move toward initial production of the platform for the US Navy and allied customers.
Financial terms of this partnership were not provided.
The company said the program is supported by its manufacturing network, including an assembly site at Breaux Brothers and its High-Yield Production Robotics initiative, which is intended to support higher output and more consistent production.
