Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC's Consolidated Net Profit Declines in Fiscal Q4; Shares Up 3%

-- Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC (NSE:ABSLAMC, BOM:543374) consolidated net profit dropped to 1.87 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter, from 2.28 billion rupees a year ago, according to an Indian bourse filing on Thursday.

Earnings per share for the quarter ended March 31 slipped to 6.46 rupees, from 7.89 rupees a year earlier.

The company's revenue from operations increased year on year to 4.58 billion rupees from 4.29 billion rupees.

Aditya Birla Sun Life's board recommended a dividend of 25.50 rupees per share for fiscal year ended March 31, the filing said.

Shares of the company rose 3% in after-market hour.

Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:We raise our 12-month target price by $14 to $82, reflecting a combination of our sum-of-the-parts (SOTP) and DCF models. For our SOTP model, we presume the oilfield services business (about 50% of BKR's franchise) to be valued at about 10x projected 2027 EBITDA (in line with major peers) and its industrial energy technology business (the other 50%) valued at 14x projected 2027 EBITDA (in line with the peer median). This blended approach, yielding a 12x multiple, implies a value of $73 per share. Meanwhile, our DCF model, using medium-term free cash flow growth of 5% per year, terminal growth of 2.5%, discounted at a WACC of 6.3%, yields intrinsic value of $91 per share.
