Larsen & Toubro Launches Industrial Electronics Manufacturing Business

-- Larsen & Toubro (NSE:LT, BOM:500510) forays into the business-to-business industrial electronics segment through industrial electronics manufacturing at its Coimbatore campus in Tamil Nadu, India, according to a Friday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

The new business has a brand name of L&T Electronic Products & Systems.

The company has initially commissioned two manufacturing lines to offer electronics manufacturing services to Indian and global clients.

Larsen & Toubro aims to expand a 40-acre zone within the Coimbatore campus to cover the entire industrial electronics value chain, which will include research and development, in-house product development, contract manufacturing, design and engineering support, sourcing, testing and validation services.

The company's shares were down nearly 1% in recent trade.

China Railway Signal & Communication's Q1 2026 Profit Falls 7%

China Railway Signal & Communication (SHA:688009, HKG:3969) recorded a 7.2% year-over-year decline in first quarter 2026 attributable profit to 521.4 million yuan from 561.7 million yuan a year earlier, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Wednesday.The railway signal and communication manufacturer's Hong Kong shares fell over 2% during Thursday's late morning trade.Earnings per share were 0.05 yuan, unchanged from the prior-year period.Revenue fell 3.5% year on year to 6.46 billion yuan, figures showed.

Resources Global Development to Overhaul Indonesia Structure to Bypass Shipping Ownership Rules

Resources Global Development (SGX:V7R) is undertaking a multi-step approach for the internal restructuring of its Indonesian Indonesian subsidiaries, according to a Thursday filing with the Singapore Exchange.Under the move, the Singapore-listed coal trader and shipping firm is looking to consolidate its shipping and logistics assets under Indonesian-listed entity, Paragon Karya Perkasa (IDX:PKPK).The plan includes the acquisition of a 51% stake in Paragon Karya Perkasa from Deli Putra Bangsa for 979.2 billion Indonesian rupiah. Concurrently, Deli Putra Bangsa will sell 24% of its stake in Paragon Karya Perkasa to Deli Pratama Nusantara for 460.8 billion rupiah.The consideration amounts will be settled through a contractual chain of debt assignments and set-offs.Meanwhile, Paragon Karya Perkasa will acquire a stake in Deli Pratama Angkutan Laut from Resources Global Development for 902.2 billion rupiah.The company is undertaking the restructuring exercise following amendments to Indonesian shipping laws which restricts foreign ownership in shipping companies.
