Mayfair Gold Provides Q1 Progress Update on Fenn-Gib Gold Project

By

-- Mayfair Gold (MFG.V) provided a progress update for the first quarter as it advances the Fenn-Gib gold project in Ontario toward a construction decision in 2028, the company said Monday.

During the quarter, the company advanced the integration and interpretation of the multi-year environmental baseline studies initiated in 2023.

Work focused on advancing and consolidating studies into technical packages to support an application into Ontario's One Project, One Process framework and advancement of the Environmental Assessment processes with the province.

Mayfair submitted the Notification of Project Status during the first quarter, signaling the intent to advance the project into production and is now awaiting formal guidance and next-step requirements from the Ministry of Energy and Mines.

The company awarded the EA and permitting mandate to Egis Canada, previously operating as Ecometrix.

Geotechnical fieldwork resumed in early 2026 for the proposed tailings storage facility, site infrastructure areas and the process plant. The company also advanced pump testing activities to strengthen the understanding of groundwater conditions across the project area.

The company is moving toward detailed engineering later this year, as well as toward permitting and regulatory approvals for the project.
