Top Cryptocurrencies Fall; Bitcoin Falls Below $77,000 Level
Top cryptocurrencies fell Monday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) dropping below the $77,000 level.The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell almost 2.7% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 was up 0.2%, the S&P 500 added 0.1% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.1% .Bitcoin dropped 1.8% to $76,841, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume surged 124.3% to $39.63 billion.Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, dipped 3.5% to $2,287.XRP (XRP-USD) fell 2.8%, BNB (BNB-USD) declined 2%, and Solana (SOL-USD) shed 3.1%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) was down 1.5%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) lost 3%.The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.335% at 3 p.m. ET Monday, up from 4.308% Friday, while the five-year yield rose to 3.947% from 3.918%.The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 2% in the past 24 hours to $2.56 trillion, with trading volume declining 2.1% to $155.95 billion.Price: $76846.16, Change: $-1824.69, Percent Change: -2.32%

Transat Adds Aruba, Barbados, Cabo to Winter 2026-27 Schedule From Montreal
Transat A.T (TRZ.TO) said Monday it is expanding its winter 2026-2027 schedule by adding three new sun destinations from Montreal.The new routes include Oranjestad in Aruba, Bridgetown in Barbados, and San Jose del Cabo in Mexico. Flights to San Jose del Cabo will begin on Dec. 10, with one flight per week. Service to Oranjestad will start on Dec. 12, with one weekly flight, while Bridgetown will have two flights per week starting Dec. 13, the company said."Demand for sun destinations remains strong, and these three new routes from Montreal allow us to meet that demand by expanding our offering. By adding Aruba, Barbados and Los Cabos, we are continuing to execute a strategy focused on diversifying and optimizing our network to the South, for the benefit of our clients," Chief Revenue Officer Sebastian Ponce said.These flights are now open for booking, though schedules may change depending on approvals and airport availability. Montfort Capital Announces Resignations from Its Board of Directors
Montfort Capital (MONT.V) on Monday said Janice Lederman and Paul Geyer stepped down from its board of directors effective April 26. It does not intend to appoint replacements at this time, citing the board's current composition as appropriate for its scale of operations.Separately, Cortland Credit Lending Corporation issued demands under certain credit facilities to Pivot Financial I L.P., with guarantees from Montfort and Langhaus Financial Corporation. Montfort said trading in its securities was halted on April 24.Following discussions over the weekend, the demands were retracted as the parties work toward an alternative solution. The company said it will update shareholders in due course.Montfort shares last traded Friday, closing at $0.015 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
