Shalby's Ahmedabad Unit Gets Kidney Transplant Approval

Shalby (NSE:SHALBY, BOM:540797) said its Krishna unit in Ahmedabad, Gujarat has secured approval to conduct kidney transplants for a period of five years, effective April 9, according to an Indian bourse filing on Saturday.Shares of the company rose 1% in Monday's trade.Following the approval, the facility can now offer transplant services along with pre- and post-transplant care at the same location, the filing said.

Indonesian Retail Sales Expected to Strengthen in March

Holiday foot traffic is expected to have boosted retail sales in Indonesia in March, reported Bank Indonesia on Monday.The nation's Real Sales Index (RSI) survey for March, in which respondents estimate sales, rose 2.4% on year, said the central bank.The rise in on-year retail sales is primarily supported by growth of vehicle spare parts and accessories, food, beverages and tobacco, as well as cultural and recreational goods, said Bank Indonesia.On month, surveyed retailers predict sales in March to grow by 9.3% from February, due to the "Ramadan 1447 H and the Eid-ul-Fitr national religious holiday," explained Bank Indonesia.In February, the retail sales index posted annual growth of 6.5% on year, said the central bank.On the inflation front, survey respondents in March expected a build-up of inflationary pressures in the next three months, while pressures in the next six months are expected to remain relatively stable.One reason the national inflation outlook is stable is that the Indonesian national government subsidizes fuel.The Indonesian government has committed to maintaining fuel subsidies through the end of the year, despite large fiscal costs caused by rising oil prices after Iran blocked of the Strait of Hormuz in March, said Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, in early April.

TotalEnergies Makes Hydrocarbon Discovery in Congo, Plans Extraction

TotalEnergies (TTE) affiliate TotalEnergies EP Congo has made a hydrocarbon discovery offshore Republic of the Congo in the area covered by its Moho license after drilling for an exploration well, it said on Monday.Together with a previous discovery in the Moho F structure, combined recoverable resources are now estimated at about 100 million barrels, which will be developed as a tieback to existing Moho infrastructure, the statement said.The drilling of the MHNM-6 NFW well in the Moho G structure led to the discovery of a hydrocarbon column of about 160 meters in "good-quality Albian reservoirs" with extensive sampling carried out.The development will benefit from proximity to existing installations "allowing a short cycle, cost effective tie-back development," according to Nicola Mavilla, Senior Vice-President for Exploration.TotalEnergies EP Congo is the operator of the Moho license, with a 63.5% stake while Trident Energy holds 21.5% and the Societe Nationale des Petroles du Congo holds 15%. Production facilities already in place include two floating production units.
